In what may be considered “The Game of the Year” for District 13-6A, Round Rock and undefeated Stony Point clashed in a battle to decide who would take over second place in the district. After four quarters of play and a full overtime period, junior Seth Ford ran in a seven yard read option touchdown to win the game 34-31 and give previously undefeated Stony Point their first loss of the season.

Despite three turnovers and seven penalties, the Dragon offense came alive when it counted most. Ford threw for 241 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 51 yards and the game winning touchdown. Running back Israel Morgan continued a dominating junior season totaling 246 total yards and three touchdowns while gaining a nomination for “The Horn Player of the Week.” Senior receiver Collin Sullivan was rock solid tallying 111 yards and one score.

The Round Rock defense withstood a 14 point fourth quarter comeback to hold on for the win. Alex Harris, Carson Otworth, and Travien Brown combined for four sacks to halt multiple Stony Point drives, including one with under two minutes to win the game. In overtime, Rock defense held Stony Point to a 38 yard field goal opening the door for the offense to win.

In an instant classic, the Dragons knocked off Stony Point running back Kendall Thomas and the Tiger ferocious rushing attack in order to move to 6-1 overall and stay one game back of undefeated Vandegrift and move into second place within District 13-6A.
