The Lady Dragons played an exhilarating five sets against the Westwood Warriors on Tuesday August 28th. The rival teams alternated wins until the Warriors barely pulled through with the win in the fifth set. The Lady Dragons kept an optimistic mindset while fighting hard each set.

“I think what kept us motivated was that Westwood is our biggest rival, and that it’s a home game,” sophomore Elle Cassady said.

Westwood kept the Dragons on their toes throughout the game, and motivated them to continue to fight until the finish, along with a loud and supporting student section pumping them up each play.

“We are going to focus on adjusting quicker and siding out from there,” sophomore Joley Plummer said.

Growing each game is a must. Coach Diane Watson critiques the girls after each game which allows them to correct the mistakes they made before their next game.

Despite the loss, the players are staying motivated and working on the mistakes they made during their previous game. The Lady Dragons  are looking forward to a season full of growing and fun.
